Tiger reserve, sal forests, jeep safaris at dawn.
India's oldest national park, established in 1936, is named after the legendary hunter-turned-conservationist Jim Corbett and lies in the foothills of the Himalayas along the Ramganga River. The park is home to over 230 Bengal tigers — one of the highest densities in India — along with wild elephants, leopards, and over 600 bird species. Its Sal forests, grasslands, and river valleys create a spectacularly diverse habitat that pioneered the Project Tiger conservation program.
